Taare Zameen Par’s director Amole Gupte is completely bowled over Shahid Kapoor’s performance in their forthcoming movie ‘Kaminey’. Amole Gupte who is co-staring with the chocolate hero is very much impressed the way the actor portrays two different characters. In ‘Kaminey’ Shahid plays double role, namely Guddu and Charlie along with ‘Fashion’ heroine Priyanka Chopra.

Amole Gupte is awed at Shahid’s dedication towards his work and marvelled at the way he behaves on the sets. “I don’t think a double role has been done like this before. Shahid has entered Guddu and Charlie’s world. When Shahid played Guddu he had to assume Guddu’s stammer. He completely internalised all of the character’s traits, including the stammer so that there’s nothing caricatured about the character,” revealed the film maker- actor. Gupte believes that Shahid has inherited his father-actor Pankaj Kapoor’s ability and style of performing and he also compared him to Aamir Khan.

He further added, “In ‘Kaminey’ two different characters are played by one actor. And Shahid should be up for two best actor nominations in Kaminey.”

Ha, with this, we are now really looking forward for the movie to release.
